Robert Jr., preferably addressed as Bob, began his insurance career as an associate agent for Nationwide Insurance in 1993. After gaining a wealth of insurance knowledge, Bob started “Business Insurance Center, Inc.” in 1998 in Orlando. His success in this industry has proven his natural gifting for communication and creation of interpersonal relationships. Sales and business development thrive because he values his customers lives, not merely their business.

In July 2007, Bob established “Newsome and Associates” in Clearwater, Florida. His ability to oversee the operation of all three locations is unmatched. Leading by example, Bob excellently directs his licensed and accomplished team to provide nuanced care, assuring client needs are met.
In early 2011, "Business Insurance Center, Inc." acquired Southern Trust Insurance and added more “A” rated companies to their already large portfolio of insurers.
Bob practices a hands-on approach to business and is happily available for board meetings or consultations.
Bob and his wife Amy are proud parents of four children. They have attended and served at First Baptist Church of Orlando for over 20 years. To relax, Bob enjoys playing tennis and boating with his family on the lake.

Over the years, Maisa has worked to hone her expertise on the intricacies and complexities of health insurance, Medicare, and life insurance. With the same determination and proficiency, Maisa brought Property & Casualty coverage into her portfolio, becoming a virtual One-Stop-Shop for all insurance needs.

A native of Buenos Aires and an Orlando resident for over 20 years, she has made a name for herself on the tennis court, winning local and state championships. While her children, Victoria and Max, will attest that she is a dedicated insurance agent & mother, they are the first to admit their inability to comprehend why or how she finds so much enjoyment in dissecting policy fine print. Customer Service Representative
Jenni is a born and raised North Carolina mountain girl turned Floridian. Three years ago, she relocated to Orlando to work for Walt Disney World and her move became permanent after meeting her husband. They have been married almost a year.
Jenni specializes in Customer Service and is currently working to expand her knowledge of the insurance world. She will soon be a fully licensed agent and is excited to continue to positively contribute to the insurance world.
Philip L. Spriggs
Philip is a lifelong Florida resident who contributes positivity to every interaction. The last four of his eight years in Property and Casualty Insurance have been with “DBA Newsome and Associates” as a certified general lines agent. Before entering the insurance industry, Philip spread joy working as a driver for UPS. He is heartily dedicated to furthering relationships with his clients, showing his loyalty by advocating for them every step of the way. Understanding that the insurance market in Florida is a complicated and ever-evolving field, Philip works to explain insurance in terms that a layperson may understand. It is a pleasure to talk with Philip as he does this with patience and grace.
Patricia Ross is another Florida native who has been with "Business Insurance Center, Inc." since 2008 as a CSR. She specializes in the personal lines department. Her precision in executing service guarantees proper coverage and excellent care for her customers. Dade City is where she was born, raised, and currently resides with her son.

Anthony has held many positions within the service industry, including positions in higher level management. Through his experience, he has developed an orientation towards service that helps prevent any client from falling through the cracks.
Since 2002, Anthony has dedicated his life to his clients at "Robert T. Newsome Insurance Agency" qualifying him as one of our longest-standing employees. Humility surrounds Anthony as his mission is to be a life-long learner. He realizes that achieving a higher understanding of the insurance industry will prepare him to better serve the needs of his clients. His contribution to his clients is manifested through his commitment to honesty and integrity. Anthony is well-known and well-loved for this security he offers to all of his clients.
Personal Lines Agent
Wesley’s childhood life was formed in Winter Haven and Lakeland. As a student, he worked multiple jobs and graduated from Polk State College in 2007 with two degrees in Accounting and Business Management. Wesley started with "Robert T. Newsome Insurance Agency” in 2008 and received his CSR license in Property and Casualty shortly thereafter. Originally a personal lines specialist, he has vast knowledge of personal lines products. He now specializes in customer service and sales support for our Commercial Lines department. As a creative and critical thinker with an impressive employment history saturated in customer service and education, Wesley’s goal is to provide clients with accessible expertise through a simple, honest, and thoughtful approach to insurance. In his free time, Wesley likes to work with his hands. Some of his accomplishments include car repair and maintenance as well as home renovation. However, one thing is for sure. Wesley gladly sacrifices his personal leisure time for his clients. He is constantly supporting and advocating for his clients. He does not consider work to be confined to particular hours of the day or a given physical location. Wherever he is, Wesley is working!
Tommy is a resident of Lakeland, FL, who enjoys spending time with his family and gardening outdoors. He graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree and was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In addition to his education, the skills Tommy acquired while working at Falcon Insurance for 16 years will be a great asset as he transitions into “DBA Aviation Insurance Center”, the newly formed branch of “Business Insurance Center, Inc.”. Tommy is excited to apply his knowledge and experience as he moves forward in a more personable agency environment. Tommy’s customer-centric approach motivates his drive to continually better serve his customers. He respects each client’s personal limitations by aggressively pursuing improved rates and prioritizing their needs.
